Montreal, the charming small city with a French flair, was my home for a week. I love it. Compared to NYC’s fast paced rhythm, Montreal is casual and laid-back. Drenched in French history, Montreal is of course quintessentially French in many aspects like food, culture and architecture. My favorite spots were the 16th century Notre-dame Basillica, the Old Port and the Old City (that was complete with the cutest cobblestones and 15th century architecture).
As for shopping…The surprisingly high numbers of vintage stores in Montreal are packed with one of a kind gems with years ranging between 30’s – 90’s. With the world becoming one gigantic cookie-cutter mall, it was refreshing that Montreal has maintained an element of unique shopping culture.
