My first blogpost went up in 2010. I remember the feeling of accomplishment that went with posting my plaid shirt dress, thick black tights paired with nine west ankle booties. My journey through the fashion world had began but I had neither a map nor a sense of direction.
These jeans were modestly destroyed when I got them but I didn’t like it so I completely ripped them. My mom would definitely give me an earful when it comes to these jeans. She can’t wrap her head around why in the world anyone would willingly pay for ripped jeans.
Black! The queen of all colors and forever on trend. My trick to wearing head-to-toe black without looking blah is varying the textures of different pieces making up the ensemble. To add understated drama, contrast soft and hard fabrics…for example leather and silk.
I have always been a “yes” girl when it comes to fashion. I was conscious enough to shop high street and not spend too much on trends but on the down side,
I love it when my thrifted finds tell me a story. Writings on the collar tag by a dry cleaner indicate this Bromleigh wool coat was owned by someone who lived in the Upper East side of Manhattan. They took awesome care of this coat because it’s practically brand new.
