Camel Effect

leather pants with camel jacket

Jacket: Jcrew [T] (similar) || Pants: Asos (here) ||  Sweater: Saks Fifth Ave. (similar, similar, similar  ) || Heels: Jeffery Campbell Darling oil slick (similar) || Bag: Celine

There’s a reason why camel is the signature shade of the perennially chic trench coat. Something about this classic neutral shade brings a luxe, well-made and expensive feel to any piece, no matter the price point. Camel also blends well with nearly every other color, which means almost endless pairing options. The perfect color to warm up all black winter ensembles, in my opinion, is most certainly camel.

Yes, I am wearing cotton socks with heels. Tights are too silky and cause my feet to slip forward and sometimes out of the shoe, especially like these oil slick Jeffery Campbell’s. Slipping feet makes walking in heels in the winter unnecessarily troublesome. Cotton socks create a great resistance and simultaneously keep my feet warm. They also stretch my heels ever so slightly so when I can finally wear them without socks they are fully broken in…. and as comfortable as heels can get.
