Burberry? Is that you, Burberry?

There’s a reason why polka dots and stripes are an eternal favorite in the fashion sphere. Even for the most novice print mixers, these two patterns (they are not really prints) offer an effortless combo that’s practically fail-proof, even when you throw color into the equation.

And it just so happens that Burberry Prorsum and I had the same idea of pattern play. The skirt and blouse in my look are at least 3 years old. Burberry, on the other hand, showcased this look in the S/S ’14 collection. The frequent reoccurrence of stripes and polka dots on the runway highlights the longevity and timelessness of these two patterns, which makes them a closet essential in my opinion.

Who wore it better, the fashion blogger or the model? Vanity! I get points for the cheaper alternative, no?
